Welcome to another new weekly challenge! Last week we had two participants link up to the challenge to use dimensional adhesive. Darcy made a dramatic layout questioning where spring was in early 2013!
Visit her blog to see her full layout and details! Thanks for participating, Darcy! I love how the black background makes the spring blue and yellow pop. I also love how you were able to catch that splash in the photo!
This week’s challenge is a color challenge! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the challenge is to use PINK and RED on your layout, card or project.
I’ve been wanting to do a single layer card. I’ve seen several other crafters make this type of card so I decided to try it myself. My first attempt was a bit more simple looking than I had hoped, but I still think it’s lovely.
I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of paper and fussy cut it out. I then used temporary adhesive to mask the area for the greeting while I stamped the floral pattern in two shades of pink. After removing the mask, I stamped the sentiment in red ink and added some rhinestones to add some sparkle.
I also made my first process video. Be gentle. It was my first attempt at a video. 😉
Check Sam’s Blog to see the adorable card she made for this week’s challenge!
To get in on this week’s challenge, simply make a card, layout or any project featuring the colors PINK AND RED. Link up below and you may be featured next week when we issue a new challenge! I can’t wait to see what you’ve made! See you on Wednesday!
