These weeks seem to just fly by! I can’t believe that we are issuing our 9th challenge! Before we get to our newest challenge, I’d like to share my favorite card from the link up last week! It would be the card made by Marilyn, with House Mouse Stamps. I simply adore how this card looks with the little mouse tails still hanging outside of oval on the cover!
Send your mailing information to me at “susan dot fairchild at gmail dot com.” I’ll mail out your stamp set in one week. It was difficult to choose just one person to feature when you’ve come so far!
When Sam and I were talking about the challenges, we sat and planned out the first several months. This week the challenge is SKETCHES – use a sketch to complete your project.
As it so happily happens, it;s also my first week contributing to the new Design Team at Nuts About Sketches! Shawn was gracious enough to let us use her sketcch this week! You can click over to her site to see what the other design team members made using the sketch as inspiration.
Here is the sketch:
And here is my interpretation of the sketch:
This is an older photo of when my oldest son was in preschool. So, what can YOU make with the sketch? How will it inspire you? In addition to Nuts About Sketches, you can go visit Sam’s Blog and see how she used the sketch. Remember you can reverse a sketch, rotate a sketch, change the number of photos – whatever it takes to make the layout work for you. Look at sketches as a jumping off point to inspire your creativity. It doesn’t have to be an exact copy. Rarely do I find a sketch that I follow exactly. While you can “see” the sketch in my layout, it’s not an exact replica, either!
Now it’s your turn! Use the above sketch to make a layout! Link it up below and you might see your name highlighted right here next week.
Be sure to link up your projects before Midnight on Sunday! Have a great day and remember to be creative this week – even if its only for a few moments!
Here’s the new link up and I’ll see you Wednesday!
