I was a guest designer for 3 Scrappy Boys for the month of February and they sent me their Trio Kit to use to create. I ended up sharing 3 layouts and one project. I put a sneak peek of the journal I created for my daughter a few weeks ago, but didn’t share the layouts here. Here are the three layouts I made and a short bit about each one.
This layout uses photos taken a million years ago at my first son’s baby shower. I had become close friends with an older woman, and she became like an extra grandparent to me. She was always happy and full of laughter and love. I miss her greatly.
This next layout is with a heritage photo I’ve had in my collection. The journaling is hidden on the tag that is tucked into the pink pocket. I love that confetti print paper! It is perfect for celebrations without being too over the top and in your face.
This last layout to share is a photo of my oldest son during his first winter. He was such a cutie pie! This photo makes me giggle every time I see it! The layout was quick and simple, but I’m really pleased with how I was able to use a kit that had so much aqua and pink and make a gender neutral or masculine page with it. Evaluating both sides of a patterned piece of paper and using parts of a stripe can really help you stretch your kits. The only things from my stash that I added to the above layouts are one set thickers, enamel dots, sequins, and some twine.
Thanks for taking a peek at my layouts! There’s still time to enter your green and gold creations in this week’s Make Something Monday Challenge #10. Visit Sam’s blog to see what picture she’s loving this week! Remember to find some time to be creative! I can’t wait to see what you make!
